ArchFX Factory Exchange

Standardize data in any format from any machine from any vendor.

How the Arch Factory Exchange Works

The ArchFX Broker standardizes data from any source to calculate KPIs or generate insights via machine learning.

Enable Line Utilization and OEE Dashboards

The ArchFX (Factory Exchange) Broker makes it easy for the first time to get data from any manufacturing machine in the world, standardize it, and securely use the data on-premise or move it to any cloud platform. The ArchFX Broker enables analytics that automate reporting on key performance indicators like throughput, machine utilization (MU), line utilization (LU), and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE). Build machine learning and artificial intelligence applications for predictive analytics to optimize factory operations and gain competitive advantage.

Connectors and sensors for every machine

Arch database connectors and sensors make it easy to quickly instrument any machine—including legacy machines—to gather data on machine cycles, quality testing results, environmental data, and more. For newer machines with their own database, the ArchFX Broker’s database connectors silently stream data from the database in the background with no performance impact. For legacy machines generating no data, Arch sensors can monitor machines for shocks, cycles, voltage, temperature, humidity, and other environmental metrics. Arch sensors report data from machines not on the network by Bluetooth® Low Energy to Access Point gateways that pass data to the Broker.

Deploy on-premise, in the cloud, or as a hybrid

  • Run on-premise, normalize data, and securely transfer data into any cloud.
  • Run on VMs or install on an existing factory-floor machine’s native OS.
  • Run in the cloud and normalize incoming data from any source.
  • Use on-premise and cloud-based Brokers together in a hybrid model. On-premise Brokers provide realtime dashboards and feedback on the factory floor, and the cloud-based Broker centralizes data for a unified global view.

Standardize data to enable analytics insights

Even when factory machines generate data, the data is often in diverse, incompatible formats that make analytics and machine learning difficult. The ArchFX Broker can standardize data into a common format so data scientists can focus on insights instead yielding competitive advantage instead of mapping fields.

Securely federate and share data across suppliers, contract manufacturers, and OEMs

Leading OEMs require their contract manufacturers to submit detailed reports on throughput, quality, line utilization, and OEE. The ArchFX Broker can be used to securely federate and share data throughout the value chain to provide the secure visibility into production and quality processes that world-class brands demand today. It can also share machine and component information and prescriptive and predictive maintenance information between manufacturers and vendors to improve the quality and timeliness of support and maximize machine performance.

Configurable workers for data transformation

The ArchFX Broker has a high-performance open architecture including the ability to have any number of worker processes to handle data transformations, data transfers, and other requirements. The number of workers of each type can be tuned up or down to match the deployment’s load requirements and to optimize spending on public clouds.

Works with native cloud services

The ArchFX Broker can integrate with cloud event hubs to support advanced enterprise IoT cloud messaging infrastructures and leverage cloud-based services and analytics.

Supports enterprise applications
